In additon to activities the year round, the Aughrus Peninsula organises/hosts a number of events - some of them one-off events to celebrate an anniversary or to just provide some fun or entertainment; and some of them established annual events.

The Cleggan-Claddaghduff Festival of the Sea is an example of the latter. It's expected to take place as usual in late July and early August but we'll post details as soon as have them. The famous Omey Races takes place in late July/early August (date also tbc). We're told that the Omey Races are now the biggest single event in terms of numbers, on the annual calendar of events in the whole of Connemara!

Details of events on the peninsula haven't yet been finalised, so we can't bring you much detail yet. But we WILL - as soon as we know more!  Click on the sub-menu links at the head of this page to find out more. Other events will be added as we learn of them.  AND PLEASE DO CHECK OUT (AND 'like') THE 'AUGHRUS PENINSULA' FACEBOOK PAGE - THIS IS WHERE WE WILL ADVERTISE OTHER ONE-OFF ACTIVITIES ON THE PENINSULA, TOGETHER WITH OTHER MATTERS OF INTEREST.
