COMMUNITY COUNCIL
NEW CONSTITUTION

We are really delighted to report that the Cleggan/Claddaghduff Community Council is now in the process of preparing and adopting - in consultation with the community itself - a new Constitution (Memorandum and Articles of Association, since it's a Limited Company).

This new Constitution will restore membership to all who are resident in the area, and offers members full rights to stand of election, vote, propose motions and priorities, and so on.

This is a truly welcome development, and this website is really delighted to state their full support once again for what SHOULD be an important, open and democratic forum for our community.

NOVEMBER 2017: The above process is complicated, but it's nearing completion.  It is expected that early in the NEW YEAR a new Constitution for the Community Council will be put before the local community.
